Sedah Mirah was born on March 24, 2022, at the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary (SRS) in Way Kambas National Park (WKNP). She is the third Sumatran rhino to be born at the SRS WKNP and was given her name, “Sedah Mirah,” by Indonesia’s 7th President. She is the first calf of Rosa and Andatu. Before successfully giving birth to Sedah Mirah, Rosa had experienced eight miscarriages.
