The Rhino Foundation of Indonesia YABI is pleased to announce Sukianto Lusli as Chairman of the Management Board and Executive Director of the Rhino Foundation of Indonesia. We are confident he will provide strong leadership onward following the passing of our late Executive Director, Widodo Sukohadi Ramono, who passed away last December 2020.
Sukianto Lusli holds a combined of 35 years leadership, development and management in non-profit organizations, all in strategic position of wildlife conservation management.
Pak Anto as we call him has involved in a wide range of projects from species conservation, planning and development of protected areas, integrating conservation and development, institution development and working with The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (since 2004) to create the first ecosystem restoration concession.
Starting work in Ujung Kulon for Javan Rhino in early 1980 with the WWF project, Pak Anto continue actively with Yayasan Badak Indonesia since its inception. He is an Ashoka Fellow, Ernst & Young Finalist Social Entrepreneur in 2009 and received The Kenton R Miller award in 2014.
