The Paid Volunteer Conservation Experience is a collaborative program that serves as a bridge between conservation needs and global public participation. Participants contribute financially to support SRS operations while gaining an intensive, hands-on field experience in rhino ecology, science-based conservation practices, and habitat management.

You will get hands-on field experience at the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary in Way Kambas National Park. Activities include direct conservation work with the SRS team, learning about rhino ecology, and science-based conservation practices.

Your contribution is an “all-in” package once you reach Lampung:

  1. Comfortable accommodation at the SRS.
  2. Three meals a day.
  3. Airport/Port pickup and drop-off in Lampung.
  4. Local transportation within the SRS.
  5. Conservation education materials, a handbook, and a certificate of completion.
  6. Exclusive YABI souvenirs.

While the program is open to various backgrounds, we typically look for participants who are at least 18 years old, consistent with similar global wildlife conservation programs.
