The Paid Volunteer Conservation Experience is a collaborative program that serves as a bridge between conservation needs and global public participation. Participants contribute financially to support SRS operations while gaining an intensive, hands-on field experience in rhino ecology, science-based conservation practices, and habitat management.
You will get hands-on field experience at the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary in Way Kambas National Park. Activities include direct conservation work with the SRS team, learning about rhino ecology, and science-based conservation practices.
Your contribution is an “all-in” package once you reach Lampung:
- Comfortable accommodation at the SRS.
- Three meals a day.
- Airport/Port pickup and drop-off in Lampung.
- Local transportation within the SRS.
- Conservation education materials, a handbook, and a certificate of completion.
- Exclusive YABI souvenirs.
While the program is open to various backgrounds, we typically look for participants who are at least 18 years old, consistent with similar global wildlife conservation programs.
