Happy Birthday, Indra!<\/p>\n

Indra adalah anak dari Delilah dan Harapan. Ia merupakan anak kelima badak sumatera yang lahir di Suaka Rhino Sumatera (SRS) Taman Nasional Way Kambas, Indonesia, dan hari ini ia genap berusia dua tahun! Saat lahir, Indra memiliki berat sekitar 25 kg, dan kini berat tubuhnya telah mencapai 567 kg.<\/p>\n

Pada usia dua tahun, Indra mulai hidup terpisah dari induknya, Delilah, mengikuti perilaku alami badak sumatera yang mulai menyendiri ketika memasuki usia dua tahun. Ia kini menempati \u201crumah\u201d barunya, yaitu area hutan seluas 2 x 10 hektare. Indra juga memiliki kandang perawatan dan keeper khusus, seperti halnya badak-badak lain di SRS TNWK.<\/p>\n

Mari kita do’akan Indra tumbuh semakin kuat, sehat, dan terus membawa harapan baru bagi masa depan badak sumatera.<\/p>\n

Indra is the calf of Delilah and Harapan. He is the fifth Sumatran rhino born at the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary (SRS) in Way Kambas National Park, Indonesia, and today he turns two years old! He was born weighing around 25 kg (55 lb), and today his body weight has reached 567 kg (1,250 lb).<\/p>\n

At this age, Indra has begun to live apart from his mother, Delilah, following the natural solitary behaviour of Sumatran rhinos as they reach two years old. He now occupies his own new \u201chome,\u201d a forest enclosure covering 2 x 10 hectares. Indra also has his own care stall and dedicated keepers, just like the other rhinos at SRS TNWK.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s wish for Indra to grow stronger, healthier, and continue to bring new hope for the future of the Sumatran rhino.<\/p>\n
