In support of Ujung Kulon National Park\u00a0, YABI with support from IRF\u00a0are training a brand new Rhino Protection Unit, tasked as part of a joint team, to patrol, surveillance and monitoring of the national park’s marine area. The training is conducted in the national park’s office, presenting trainers from the Indonesian Navy\u00a0@tni_angkatan_laut<\/a>\u00a0Merak base and from the national park’s senior experienced officers.<\/p>\n

This new team are selected from communities around the national park through an open and rigorous process. Only by empowering local communities a conservation effort can be successful in restoring and sustaining biodiversity.<\/p>\n
